Maintenance mode with minimal settings for WordPress

Enable Maintenance Page is a plugin that allows you to quickly switch a WordPress website readability to a maintenance mode for visitors and display content from a specific page for all public links.

This plugin offers minimal settings, that can be accessed from left site admin menu: Settings > Reading > Enable Maintenance Page.

The content to display during maintenance mode can be choosen from existing pages or the new one. This option allows full control of the information to ready by visitors when they can’t see your actual website pages. It is a good option when your site has block editor enabled. So that you can choose preferred essentials blocks like heading, paragraph, button, embed social profile, etc. You can also add extra blocks from additional block-focused plugins like map, contact form, subscription form, etc.

There are many maintenance plgins out there, but if you want to have a simpler setting and more control to content, this plugin should be your best to go.

Installation

  1. Download the plugin .zip file
  2. Upload it to your site from Dashboard > Plugins > Add New
  3. Visit the settings to enable maintenance mode and choose a page from Dashboard > Settings > Reading > Enable Maintenance Page

Yes. The plugin is developer friendly. You can bypass the content using the emp_content filter.
